| THE PROS: The Sherwood BDP-5003 has great start up times and disc loading times. Has very good image and audio quality. Also has a very easy to use menu user display guide. |
| THE CONS: It if Profile 1.1 with no option to upgrade. No internal decoding option for High Resolution formats or a 5.1 analog outputs. Therefore a receiver is needed that will decode over HDMI. |
| THE FINAL WORD: The Sherwood BDP-5003 is a very solid Blu-ray DVD Player. Very good audio and video quality. But because it is not upgradeable and getting a good audio may be a bit difficult for some, not to mention the high price tag, the BDP-5003 probably will not appeal too many people. Price you should look for when purchasing -- Under $250.00 |
