THE PROS: The BD-5900 Blu-ray Player from Samsung is very similar to its earlier release, the BD-C5500 Blu-ray Player. The main difference between the two Blu-ray Players is that the BD-C5900 has 3D Blu-ray capability. It also is Wi-Fi ‘Ready’, BD-Live ‘Ready’, and is DLNA certified. Supports online media services: Internet@TV/Samsung Apps(provides content from Netflix, Pandora, Vudu, Blockbuster, Picasa and Twitter). Has internal audio decoding for Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital Plus.
THE CONS: To enjoy 3D at home, you still require a 3D TV and 3D glasses. It only WI-FI ‘Ready’, you have to purchase a wireless LAN Adaptor. No internal memory for Storage and to access BD-Live content. A USB external memory device is needed.
THE FINAL WORD: The Samsung BD-C5900 3D Blu-ray Player provides excellent video and audio quality. It has great features such as Online Streaming and DLNA support. It lacks some of the features of higher end models, but it is one of the cheapest 3D Blu-ray Players on the market. This alone should make the BD-C5900 an appealing option for those wanting to enjoy 3D Movies at home. — Price you should look for when purchasing — Under $160.00

You connect your Blu-ray player to the Internet (through the Ethernet port or using an optional Link Stick USB wireless dongle) to download images, subtitles and more. - AllShare: Now you can sync up your entire household. A wired or wireless DLNA connection lets you stream your PC audio and video files to your HDTV using your remote.
- Anynet+: This is an Audio/Video Network system to automatically control Samsung Audio/Video (AV) devices. With this feature, there is no need to use different remote controls for different devices. With the Anynet+ feature, all you need is one remote control for a simple and convenient experience.
- WI-FI ‘Ready’: A wireless LAN adaptor is required to be inserted into the back of the Blu-ray Disc Player. **Adaptor is not included.
- Full screen, ultra fast play: Samsung is calling this blu-ray player the ‘World’s Fastest Blu-ray Player’. Samsung says is has a disc load time and boot up time of only 15 seconds!
- Dolby True-HD : Dolby TrueHD will deliver high-definition sound to accompany the stunning HD images. With it’s lossless, multi-channel audio codec technology, it will produce sound that’s identical to the studio master recording.
