- Online Streaming: Allows access to Online Streaming Media Services such as Netflix (available right away to Netlfix Members on an unlimited plan). Blockbuster On Demand and Roxio CinemaNow will be starting in the fall of 2010. Also there is a vTuner which provides more than 11,000 internet radio stations.
- BD-Live ready: Get more out of a Blu-ray Disc than what’s is physically on it. BD-Live 2.0 lets studios future-proof their Blu-ray titles, so they can add more content to BD-Live Ready discs even after they have been made and shipped. You connect your Blu-ray player to the Internet (through the Ethernet port or using the USB wireless Adapter) to download images, subtitles and more. You can chat live with friends while you are both watching the movie, or play online trivia games against others to unlock exclusive video content and earn discounts on other products. There is no internal memory, a SD Card memory device is needed to download content.
- BD-Java Support: Some Blu-rays discs support Java applications. You can enjoy interactive functions like games or menus.
- EasyLink: EasyLink will let you control multiple devices with one remote. It uses HDMI CEC industry-standard protocol to share functionality between devices through the HDMI cable. With one touch of a button, you can operate all your connected HDMI CEC enabled equipment at the same time.
