THE PROS:
The DMP-BDT310 is Panasonic’s flagship Blu-ray Player for 2011. It has produces excellent images and sound with a host of extra features. It is capable of 1080p video playback on blu-rays and 3D blu-rays and can up-scale DVDs. It has new and easy to navigate user interface, allowing you quick access to Viera Cast and its many online streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube and much more. The DMP-BDT310 has added Skype so you can talk to your family and friends. Other features include very fast loading speeds, built-in WI-FI, USB playback, DLNA support and dual HDMI Outputs.
THE CONS:
The Panasonic DMP-BDT310’s Viera Cast does not offer Hulu Plus and MLB.TV, so it is not as comprehensive as other online media portals. Has a higher price tag than most players, the Panasonic DMP-BDT210 is a very similar player, minus the dual HDMI ports, and is $30.00 cheaper. The 2D to 3D conversion seems to be an unnecessary gimmick because it can be found on most 3D HDTVs.
THE FINAL WORD:
The Panasonic DMP-BDT310 is an excellent Blu-ray Player. If you can get past the higher price tag or if you want a player with dual HDMI outputs, then this maybe one of the best players you can purchase in 2011. It is one of the fastest loading players, with a simple and easy to use interface that provides quick access to online streaming services. Overall, the DMP-BDT310 is getting positive reviews from both experts and consumers. It seems to be a solid choice amongst the batch of blu-ray players released in 2011. Price you should look for when purchasing — Under $250.00
