THE PROS: The LG BD590 has excellent picture quality on Blu-ray Playback. It has a built-in 250GB hard drive that can be used for ripping CDs. You get online streaming services Netflix, Vudu, YouTube, Pandora, CinemaNow streaming and many more. It has built-in Wi-Fi and has internal audio decoding for Dolby Digital , Dolby Digital Plus , Dolby TrueHD , DTS decoder , DTS-HD Master Audio. Can also, play music, videos and pictures from the USB port or from a network.
THE CONS: No 3D Blu-ray support. Operational and loading speed seems slower compared to other blu-ray models who have a quick start mode. You have to change the output mode to 1080p.
THE FINAL WORD: The LG BD590 has excellent image and audio quality. It can rip CDs and has a 250GB internal hard drive. It has many options for streaming online content. You get a lot of functionality with the BD590, but you will have to pay more to get it. LG’s BD570 has all the same features, minus the 25GD hard drive and CD ripping, for a lesser price. Price you should look for when purchasing — Under $380.00
