The VBR200W has a slightly slim design, measuring 2.4 inches in height. The controls are located on the front of the player. All controls are touch sensitive. All input and output connections are located on the rear of the Blu-ray Player.

Video Quality:
The VBR200W provides Full HD 1080p when playing back a Blu-ray disc. It up-scales standard DVDs to near High Definition levels. There are three options to connect the video, they are: HDMI (ver. 1.3), Component and Composite outputs. A HDMI connection will give you the best video output when playing back Blu-ray and DVD discs.
Audio Quality:
The VBR200W provides 7.1 multi-channel surround sound via HTMI. Other audio connections are analog (2.0ch), Digital Optical/Coaxial outputs. It has audio internal decoding for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. Unfortunately, there are no 7.1 analog outputs. So an audio/video receiver that has a HDMI input is needed to decode the latest High-Resolution Audio formats that are on the Blu-ray movie disc.

Vizio’s VBR200W player has Internet Apps where you can access online streaming content such as movies, music, news and weather. Some online services you can use are VUDU, Netflix, Pandora Internet Radio, Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, Associated Press and The New York Times. An internet connect is required to take advantage of online streaming.
You can connect through the Ethernet Port or you can setup a wireless connection. The player comes with a 802.11n wireless built-in, so connecting to your Home Network should be easy.(802.11n is compatible with 802.11b and 802.11g wireless networks. More details can be found in the Quick Start Guide and Owner’s Manual). Unfortunately, connecting to your Home Network does not mean you can stream video or music files from you computer to the Blu-ray Player. It is not DLNA compliant. (Depending on your Home Network environment, a wired connection is usually the most reliable, especially when streaming movies.)
You can, however access BD-Live content when connected to the internet. Many Blu-ray Discs will have content or interactive features you can download or participate in. BD-Live content will include such things as updated movie trailers, deleted scenes, documentaries, trivia games, chat rooms and live commentary. There is no internal memory in this Vizio player, therefore you will be required to insert an external memory storage device to access BD-Live content. A 1GB Flash Drive inserted into the USB Port should be sufficient.
