Like last years BD-P4600, Samsung is introducing another uniquely designed Blu-ray Player, the BD-C7500. While most Blu-ray players have a black glossy finish, this player has a nature-wood inspired exterior finish. Add to that, Samsung is pronouncing the player as the World’s Thinnest at just 1.1 inches thick, which can also be mounted to you wall. The BD-C7500 design succeeds in setting itself apart from all the other Blu-ray Players.


  • Internet@TV: You can get access to an ever-growing portal of your favorite digital content. Customizable widgets will give you access to BLOCKBUSTER, Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, and more – all on your HDTV.
  • Wi-Fi ‘Ready’: It comes with an LinkStick™ adapter for easy wireless connection to the internet.
  • AllShare™ (DLNA Certified): Now you can sync up your entire household. A wired or wireless DLNA connection lets you stream your PC audio and video files to your HDTV using your remote.
  • 1GB built-in memory: 1gb of internal memory that can be you with BD-Live to download content.
  • BD-Live Technology allows you to download and stream bonus content such as additional scenes, shorts, trailers, movie-based games, and more. And with Bonus View, you can enjoy “picture-in-picture” capability with select Blu-ray titles. External memory (sold separately) is required.
  • Bonus View feature provides “picture-in-picture” capability with select Blu-ray Disc titles — useful for viewing director or actor commentary while the movie plays.

Besides wall mounting the player, you can have it standing at a 25 degree angle or simply laying down flat. The disc loading tray is located on the right side of the Blu-ray player. It is truly a stunning and innovative design that will appeal to many. Also, appealing is its easy to use Graphical User Interface (GUI). Samsung has gone with a more image menu making it easier and faster to select features and functions.


The Samsung’s BD-C7500 does has built-in WI-Fi and 1GB of internal storage memory, so you can conveniently take advantage of BD-Live content. Or you can access Internet@Tv and Samsung’s Apps; which will gives you online access to streaming movies, TV shows, music, videos and other online content. Services such as Blockbuster, Fashion TV, Netflix, Picasa, Pandora, Rovi, Accedo Broadband, AccuWeather.com, The Associated Press, Travel Channel, Twitter, USA TODAY, and Vudu are all available. Giving you a tremendous amount of material to choose from and enjoy.

Image quality will be at 1080p/24 fps playback with Blu-ray Discs, without any need for up converting. DVD up conversion is available up to 1080p. There is internal audio decoding for Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital, DTS-HD and Dolby Digital Plus. And with improved disc loading times and operation speed, you can begin to enjoy these features faster than before.

THE PROS: This sleek new design by Samsung, the BD-C7500, is being call the worlds smallest Blu-ray Player. It is Wi-Fi ‘Ready’ (w/ included LinkStick™ adapter) and 1GB of internal memory. You can get access to Samsung’s Internet@TV to download and stream internet movies and TV shows, etc. Has internal audio decoding for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.
THE CONS: There is no support for the playback of 3D Blu-ray Discs. No 7.1 Analog Audio Outputs. Not the best option for those with older non-HDMI A/V receivers. The BD-C6500 Blu-ray player has the same features available and is usually available at a lower cost.
THE FINAL WORD: With a sleek, small, natural-wood design, this just maybe the best looking Blu-ray Player ever. It is wall mountable and does have Built-in Wi-Fi and 1 GB of internal memory storage, so you can easily take advantage of streaming online features and BD-Live features. If aesthetics are important to you and you want to liven up the look of your Home Theater, the BD-C7500 will be up to the task. If not, invest in the BD-C6500 Blu-ray Player. — Price you should look for when purchasing — $300.00
