New Blu-ray Movie Releases for August 3, 2010 includes Kick-Ass, staring Aaron Johnson, Mark Christopher Lawrence and Nicolas Cage. It is about an ordinary New York teenager and rabid comic-book geek – dons a green-and-yellow Internet-bought wetsuit to become the no-nonsense vigilante Kick-Ass. Other new releases are A Prophet, the award winning french drama about a young prisoner rising through the ranks of the mob. And The Ghost Write, directed by Roman Polanski, staring Ewan McGregor, Kim Cattrall and Pierce Brosnan. A gifted ghostwriter is hired to write the memoirs of former British Prime Minister Adam Lang, he soon finds himself trapped in a web of political and sexual intrigue. Also new on Blu-ray this week are Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2010), the Coen Brother’s classic Blood Simple (1984), and Tom Hank’s Road to Perdition (2002).
