Sony has recently announced a new Blu-ray Player from it’s Elevated Standard(ES) series. The new BDP-S1700ES will be a 3D capable Blu-ray Player, with an IR input for third-party controls units. As well as a built in 802.11n Wi-Fi for easy access to Sony’s Bravia Internet Video and Sony’s new premium video service, Qriocity. It is capable of handling Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding, has support for photo / video / music playback via USB and is DLNA Certified. The Blu-ray Players also has 1GB internal memory.
And like Sony’s other new Blu-ray Players released this year, the BDP-S1700ES can be controlled with the BD Remote iPhone app. This Blu-ray Player should be made available sometime in August, 2010 with a price listed at $400.00.
