Wanting to be the Next Big Thing” in Television, Google recently revealed Google TV. Of course Google needs hardware to bring Google TV to our homes. This product is in its infancy, so the best way to be successful is to link it with established industry names. In fact, Sony will be one of Google’s launch partners.
Sony has announced the “Sony Internet TV”. This television will be equipped with the required Google TV hardware. So there would be no need for addition boxes or even wires to connect. Other than the Ethernet cable. Another exciting announcement made by Sony was that a future Blu-ray Player will also have the Goggle hardware built in. Great news for anyone who does not want to upgrade their HDTV. The Blu-ray Player will take care of all your HD content as well as run the Android app/Chrome browser and services from Google TV.
No prices are known for these products and the earliest release date would be sometime in the Fall of 2010.
