According to Sony, the 3D firmware update for the PlayStation 3, due June 2010, will not include 3D Blu-ray movie support. Instead it will just be for 3D games. Gaming titles such as Wipeout HD, Super Stardust HD, PAIN, and Motorstorm: Pacific Rift will feature a 3D update. But do not worry to much, with almost every major manufacturer pushing 3D Television, Sony should realize the importance of having their console capable of playing 3D Blu-ray Discs. In fact, Sony has promised support for 3D Blu-ray movies to becoming later this year. Hopefully, this will be the case. Because with industry leaders predicting 3D to be the “Next Big Thing” in Home Entertainment. And with almost all the leading manufacturers producing 3D capable Blu-ray Players. Sony does not want the PlayStation 3 Blu-ray feature to fall behind and get left in the dust.
